We have posted the following photos to give you an idea of what the area looks like. Leave your car and high gas prices at home and enjoy a slower lifestyle! Taxis are cheap and you can walk just about everywhere you want to go. A days trip out fishing is very affordable and the fishing is world class!!!!
This view is really good of the area. Looking down you can see the lay of the land and the intricate waterways that make Barra de Navidad so unique. It is possible to cruise your cabin cruiser or sailboat right up to your home if you live on one of the three canals.
 Another great view--looking to the far right side of the photo is the Pacific Ocean. Barra de Navidad is situated in a very sheltered manner because of the way it faces away from the ocean. The land mass that is hilly is where the prestigious Grand Bay Resort/Hotel is located.
This shows what is referred to as "new" Barra on the left and the older original Barra on the right. You can tell the new area by the very straight roads. There are numerous lots for sale in the new area where you can build a new home for one third of what it costs in the states!
